“George’s Marvellous Medicine” By Roald Dahl Review

George’s Marvellous Medicine

Author: Roald Dahl

Release Date: 1981

** spoiler alert ** I enjoyed this book as a kid and just reread it to our infant son. I’m glad he doesn’t really follow books yet as the plot was George tries to get back at his grandma by making her eat animal pills, oil, paint, antifreeze and other products (which he boils in a big metal pot) but ends up making her a giant. In the end he can’t recreate the medicine so he makes one that shrinks grandma instead, which George’s dad uses to literally murder grandma. Not one of Dahl’s best, kids don’t try at home.
