“Dancer” by Colum McCann Review

Author: Colum McCann
Release Date: 2003
I picked this up on a recommendation knowing nothing about it. My main problems with the book were the author’s decision to constantly change point of view (1st person, 3rd person, different narrators) and not always making it a priority to give the reader any clue who was talking as well as some writing styles just being a chore to read (I’m looking at you Victor). At its worst it read like bad Brett Easton Ellis, but I’m still impressed with the thought/detail that went into it and am glad to have checked it out.
